In just a few months, thousands of the world’s greatest athletes will gather at PyeongChang, South Korea for the 2018 Winter Olympics. The road to Olympic qualification is arduous, and only the very best will prevail. You may wonder what it takes to become an Olympian — how have these athletes risen above the rest to become the elite among champions? Beyond talent and hard work, is there an “Olympic mindset” that drove their success? What can you learn from that mindset and apply to your life and career?

Fortunately, you don’t have to fly to PyeongChang to find out!

Grab a front-row seat for an inspiring panel discussion with a few of our very own Olympic athletes who will share their stories and uncover how their “Olympic mindsets” have enabled them to excel in their sports, careers, and in life.  Learn how these superhumans set goals, plan their days, and work effectively towards success.  Hear their thoughts on what characteristics and habits set the very best performers apart.

Whether you’re an elite athlete, an office athlete, or a loyal sports fan, this panel will offer you high-performance motivation, an inside look into the Olympics, and an opportunity to get into the Olympic spirit in the run-up to the Games in February.  You don’t need to be an Olympian to have an Olympic mindset.

Our lineup of Olympians include:

Larsen Jensen (GSB ’17), Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, Navy SEAL, 2004 Olympic Silver Medalist and 2008 Olympic Bronze Medalist in Swimming

Emily Hughes (Harvard ’11), Senior Manager at Johnson & Johnson, 2006 Olympian in Figure Skating

Peter Varellas (GSB ’14), Consultant at Bain & Company, 2008 Olympic Silver Medalist and 2012 Olympian in Water Polo

Henry Lippincott (GSB ’13), Co-founder of JoinedApp, 2006 Olympic Alternate in Figure Skating (competing under childhood nickname, “Rusty” Fein)
